Safe Environment Program

Our religious education program relies on adult and high school volunteers to serve as catechists and classroom aides who work closely with the children of our parish.  The Office of Education and Compliance at the Diocese of Providence requires these volunteers to be educated in providing a safe environment for the children.  Adult volunteers are also required to submit a Background Check (BCI).

Safe Environment Training (SE Training)
Adults and high school student volunteers are required to complete Safe Environment Training once every three years.  You can do this online now by reading each of the following documents (click each link):
Sexual Misconduct and Harassment Policy
Once you have read all of these documents, print the acknowledgement by clicking on the link below, and bring it to Saint Aidan Religious Education office to complete and have notarized.

Adults volunteers age 18 and up are required to submit a Background Check once every three years.  You can print the BCI Disclaimer Form below, and bring it, along with a copy of your drivers license, to Saint Aidan Religious Education Office to complete and have notarized.   Your completed BCI Disclaimer Form will be sent to the Office of Education and Compliance at the Diocese of Providence for processing in the State of Rhode Island.
